• Supporting the EGM of HSE, HR and IT and State Management teams in the review, implementation and monitoring of Emeco Safety Health Environment Management System (ESHEMS)• Assisting with the development and implementation of Core Risk Control Protocols (CRCP)• Coaching and mentoring of managers and supervisors in safety leadership, HSE systems, policies and procedures• Auditing in line with Emeco annual HSE audit program, and preparation for external audits of company systems• Development and implementation of site specific Health Safety Environment Management Plans (HSEMP’s), consistent with ESHEMS and client Safety Management Plan• Effective communication with all stakeholders, including corporate, management, workshop, client representatives and suppliers• Advice to all internal stakeholders regarding Australian legislation, Codes of Practice, Guidelines and industry best practice as they apply to Emeco equipment, infrastructure and procedures• Incident reporting and investigations, with the development of effective controls to prevent recurrence of incidents• Establishing and monitoring of effective injury management programs for employees as required. This includes liaison with medical practitioners, insurance provider injured employee and supervisor• Collection, documentation and reporting of HSE information for board reports, internal reports and external reports

Osborne Park

• Develop and implement Safety Systems and Safety Improvements throughout Emeco, including the design and development of safety resources• Provide support to State HSE Advisors, State Managers and State Management teams to ensure that Emeco HSE Strategic targets and objectives are achieved• Assist with the coordination of the Crisis & Emergency Management (including an active role in the Crisis Management Team)• Provide relief coverage for State HSE Advisors (due to leave, vacant positions)• Coordinate Safety Improvement Projects as directed • Coordination of Environmental Initiatives for Emeco Australian Operations• Coordinate the provision of accurate and timely HSE related information, for the purposes of Board reports, internal management reports and external reporting requirements, in order to monitor progress towards achieving safety objectives at all levels.• Contribute to the development of an annual Strategic ESHEMS Plan and focus areas nationally. • Conduct audits and monitor progress of the annual HSE audit program• Assist with the training of Emeco personnel (State Managers, Operations Managers, Supervisors etc) in HSE systems, policies, procedures and tools • Maintain an active understanding of the relevant Industry, National and State OH&S legislation communicating relevant changes to Emeco management for their strategic response plans• Provide safety coaching to Operational Managers and Frontline Supervisors and coordinate the Emeco Safety leadership Program

Supervise a team of Geological technicians (six permenant staff, and up to four contractors) to ensure the accurate and timely flow of information through to the mine geologists. This was achieved through rock sampling, diamond core marking, core cutting, data reporting, and QAQC (quality control).The position was predominantly underground, with two operating satellite pits.
