Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer
Current• Facilitate the creation of test plans, suites, test cases and scripts as required for the Monro POS software and related software products• Ensure that all testing is scheduled and executed as planned to validate software implementations against requirements. • Ensure that testing teammates are scheduled, trained and ready for testing • Ability to predict and communicate testing capacity against deployment schedules• Actively communicate with team members, IT Project Managers, Software Developer Leads and Software QA engineers on testing metrics and status• Define and execute testing using approved testing tools• Actively escalate issues to IT Project Managers and Software Developer Leads or to the Sr. POS manager• Analyze how systems are being tested manually and identifying opportunities to reduce that time, effort, and accuracy through testing automation• Create and maintain software testing documentation • Accurately define and report defects detected during testing• Actively participate in test planning discussions to assure that testing coverage is appropriate and complete• Create test environments or platforms where necessary• Support system go-live schedules and hyper-care periods• Actively participate in test planning discussions to assure automation coverage is continuously improving• Responsible for creating and maintaining various testing platforms.
