I grew up on a sheep ranch in Central Utah where riding horses was part of the deal. After high school, I attempted life as a rodeo cowboy then moved to Las Vegas in 1992 and began shoeing horses professionally. Over the past 30 years, I have started colts, bred, trained, sold, and shown. I founded Vegas Valley Horse Auction in 1995 and own and operate Jacob Livestock, a retail horse feed company. In 2021 with the help of an amazing crew, I launched The Horsemanship Journey!My mission is to help people improve their horse experience and to have more joy in their lives by living with purpose on purpose. I became a leader in the horse industry when I founded The Horsemanship Journey. I am a farrier, an auctioneer, an entrepreneur, and a professional horseman.
