I also support strategic initiatives to improve our internal processes and regularly research industry best practices to ensure our communications team remains as innovative and engaging as our lawyers and other professionals.

I designed and built the next generation of legal research tools with data-driven insights and machine learning. While directing teams of up to 20 legal analysts, I brought four products to market from ideation to release, a process that included collaboration with professors of law and data scientists to predict a legal case's chance of success before the courts. Through this process, I honed my skills as a researcher, technical writer, and communicator who understands that good writing is concise and pays close attention to the audience's specific needs. In addition to legal memos and questionnaire creation, I wrote and organized reports that clients received when a prediction was made on their matter. I was also a founding member of the company's ethics committee, which oversaw the introduction of Blue J Legal's first policy on the ethical use of AI. As a solutions architect, I produced training materials for a significant client and resolved legal and technical questions on an as-needed basis, often with substantial research on tight deadlines. I authored blog posts and other content, some of which were reprinted by quarterly digests.

I guided clients through complex litigation in professional liability and medical malpractice defence, as well as corporate commercial litigation before the Ontario trial and appeal courts. I also prepared written submissions to the Supreme Court of Canada.

I worked on financing transactions for major energy projects throughout Canada with particular experience in renewable energy sources. I also brought large, multi-national bond offerings to market. This included due diligence, contract review, and facilitation of closings, including document preparation.Within the firm's litigation department, I conducted legal research and written advocacy on matters before the Ontario Superior Court and Supreme Court of Canada with a focus on medical malpractice and commercial disputes.I also prepared policy materials on emerging technologies for international ministers and other delegates at a major international economic summit.

McCarthy Tetrault's Clients & Markets team supports the firm's partners and associates to maintain an international presence and generate thought leadership. I managed the firm's database of deals and cases and produced collateral used in marketing strategies and media products for internal and external clients, including RFPs. I also wrote website content for the McCarthy’s re-brand improving our online user experience. Working closely with the Director of Communications, I organised submissions for industry awards, including Chambers & Partners and Lexpert and curated the LinkedIn profiles of partners to improve their online presence.

I conducted legal research and wrote memos on complex areas of the law for litigation and business matters. This included the preparation of legal documents for matters before Ontario professional boards. I also worked on an urgent interlocutory injunction involving the preparation of key negotiating materials under significant time constraints.

I supported the International Program Coordinator in internal administrative review as part of an initiative to secure federal government funding. I also conducted legal research and policy review for international partners in Papua New Guinea in the interest of law reform on mining tailing disposal and provided as needed research into local environmental and planning queries from the public. I successfully identified legal recourse for a local group to appeal the partial demolition of a heritage train station.

Stylist and customer service provider in the Sydney, Westfield flagship boutique. I assisted busy professionals to dress the part with an iconic Australian fashion brand in the heart of Sydney's luxury shopping district. My most high profile client was the President of the Australian Human Rights Commission. I and a small team of associates continuously surpassed weekly, monthly and annual sales goals and were the launching pad for all new marketing and styling campaigns. I also performed assistant managerial duties.

I was one of seven undergraduates chosen for the Clayton Utz inaugural winter clerkship program in the Sydney office. This program invites first year law students to join the firm over the winter break to work on commercial matters. I undertook due diligence in a multi-million dollar commercial transaction and wrote material for an internal publication on risks associated with social media and cloud computing.
