After graduating with a 2.1 BA Hons Psychology from Maynooth University in 2015, I took up a graduate position with Enterprise Ireland in the Local Enterprise Office Kildare as an Enterprise Executive.During my time with the Local Enterprise Office Kildare I was the team leader for the Trading Online Voucher Scheme and helped over 60 businesses based in County Kildare establish an online presence. I also revamped the structure of the information seminars delivered as part of this scheme in order to create a more productive customer experience. These changes have lead to a 300% increase in attendance numbers, and more applications were received in the first 6 months of 2017 than in the whole of 2016. I have 2 years experience engaging in B2B sales of LEO supports and services to clients on a daily basis.My other main responsibility was organising and recording details of business advice clinics and workshops. 1-on-1 clinics are organised for clients both in-house and around the county in each of the 5 MD's in County Kildare. Business Advice Workshops for Entrepreneurs at the start-up stage and Business Planning & Access to Finance Workshops are organised on a regular basis depending on demand. I also administered the Local Enterprise Acknowledgement Scheme whereby local businesses are written to by the LEO to acknowledge a recent milestone or achievement.This role allowed me to develop into a comfortable and confident public speaker, having presented on behalf of the Local Enterprise Office on many occasions, both to clients when opening an event or a training course, and to local Councillors at SPC meetings.Many of my responsibilities in the Local Enterprise Office involve handling sensitive data and so I am well accustomed to, and understand the importance of applying a high level of discretion when handling personal data.I left the Local Enterprise Office on good terms in November 2017 as my graduate contract was due to end in December 2017.

Nolan Auto Care is a car upholstery firm based in Bluebell, Dublin 12. I worked there during the summer holidays while I was in school and college, and also worked there full-time for short periods after finishing both secondary school and my college education.For the most part my work involved manual labour as I was primarily an apprentice upholsterer. I also acted as reception on occasions when my employer was away from the office, which gave me an introduction to dealing with members of the general public in a working environment.As I got older, I was trusted with more administrative duties. I developed budgets and holiday planners using excel spreadsheets and was also responsible for sending invoices out at the end of each week.
