I am an experienced Maintenance Management professional with a career spanning over twenty years in the Australian mining industry mainly on Field Equipment and underground fleets however I have sound experience in Mobile Plant Maintenance from earlier in my career. I have a proven track record in leading large multi-disciplined maintenance teams and driving mining operations. I have a solid background in all aspects of OH&S with a demonstrated capability in client and stakeholder engagement.I currently run my own Equipment Business in Far North Queensland, servicing the Mining, Construction and Agricultural industries. This is a family owned and operated business with me in the field, consulting with larger companies assisting with various projects and Maintenance management systems. My wife running retail and day to day office management side of the business, with full-time mechanics in the workshop servicing equipment and fleet vehicles both in the workshop and out in the field. I was previously employed in the mining industry with Anglo American as a Field Maintenance Coordinator/Project Manager at Dawson mine in Central Queensland. This position was a senior role among my group and allowed me to provide leadership, support and coaching to other personnel.Throughout my career I have acquired a vast knowledge of Project Management, Reliability Centered Maintenance Management, shutdown structures, Maintenance systems, procedures and a strong understanding of various other positions such as; Reliability Engineering, Scheduling as well as Short and Long Term Planning and other Senior Management positions.Prior to my relocating to Dawson Mine I worked around the north West region of Mount Isa holding various positions from Fitter/Boilermaker (fixed plant and diesel) to Supervising a contract crew on Digger/Shovel downdays and shutdowns. I have also spent a few years underground at Xstrata’s George Fisher mine as a Diesel Fitter, PM Supervisor and Planner.Budget management, forecasting & integrating commercial requirements into a maintenance management Model is something I pride myself on.I am always open to new challenges and roles to improve my knowledge and widen my Management experience.
