My passion for politics was ignited in the summer of 2015 when politicians began announcing their candidacies for the 2016 presidential election. I devoted hours daily to listening to various podcasts and media outlets and conducted extensive research on political issues to perform my own fact-checking. Debating with friends was a common and enjoyable activity during my high school and college years. I have written many essays in college covering political issues, movements, and court cases, ranging from the colonial to contemporary periods. Additionally, I have studied the political and religious environments and movements in various parts of Europe throughout the ancient, classical, medieval, and modern eras.One of the most influential courses I took was on the U.S. Constitution, where I analyzed and attended lectures on The Federalist Papers and various documents, letters, and arguments from key founding fathers such as James Madison and Thomas Jefferson. Politics is an addictive interest, and I am dedicated to researching and analyzing political issues to form informed opinions. I am committed to upholding ethical principles that ensure prosperity, justice, and freedom for all. I aspire to become a politician to positively impact the American people, defend the Constitution, and contribute to creating a more perfect Union.Baseball has also been a significant part of my life, second only to my family in shaping my character and personality. My baseball career has been marked by perseverance through doubts and setbacks. Competing in one of California's most competitive high school leagues, I rarely started in games because I simply did not put in the extra work outside of practice. After high school, I resolved to prove my potential, dedicating several extra hours daily to practice. My freshman year of junior college was my best season, but the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted my momentum. The following season was my worst, making it crucial to rebound in time for transferring to a university. An intense offseason regimen led to my best statistical summer season.With limited time to secure a spot on a competitive university team, I attended a showcase for Concordia University Irvine, despite advice to accept a scholarship from a less competitive program. I performed well and received a spot on the roster. Initially not a starter, I seized my mid-season opportunity, earning the trust of my coaches and becoming a reliable, productive player.
