General Manager of Killary Adventure company based in the West Coast of Ireland. A family business started in 1981 it has grown to a business with 15 full time employees and up to 60 employees in the middle of the season. Over the years I have worked in the different parts of the Killary group from our events under the Gaelforce events banner to our tours under the Connemara Adventure Tours company. We have recently opened our new Killary Lodge a luxury lodge nestled on the shores of Killary Fjord for those looking for something different.with a demonstrated history of working in the leisure, travel & tourism industry. Skilled in Coaching, Business Development, Marketing Strategy, Event Management, and Corporate training. Strong professional with a Bachelor's Degree in History from Trinity College, Dublin. Also extensive sports experience having captained rugby clubs all over the world from Trinity to Newman in Argentina. Have lead and been on expedition to the Chiribuqete amazon in Columbia and sailed and kayaked to Greenland. Next expedition is in the offing!I was skipper and member of kayaking team that sailed to Greenland from Galway and completed a 800 km kayaking trip along the coast. This was in 2013 and we made a documentary which was screened on TG4. I was also a member of the Irish/Polish expedition to search for lost rock art in the depths of the Chiribiqute National Park in Colombia in 2017. I have also worked on race creation for Galeforce events in Ireland finding iconic races around the country, 13 events at last count catering for over 7000 people in 2018.We are also doing more towards Team development and growth, In 2019 we welcomed Joe Schmidt and the Irish rugby team to Killary.
