Since 2002, I have worked tirelessly on developing numerous start up companies in Australia. This includes Australia’s First Online Retail Business available on the BlackBerry Device, called ⇜ishoptoday⇝. This was the First transactional retail store on a mobile device in Australia. Also, ventured into one of the first mobile push marketing platforms within Australia. Again, overlaying critical thinking against the standard ‘norms’ of industry, and surrounding the business with clever talent, ensured leading edge marketing solutions.

As CEO and Partner of the Iconic Fashion Brand Trent Nathan, I adopted an innovative approach and surrounded the business with a visionary team. The business was transformed into both a retailer and wholesaler, with a large licensing base. This new model in the fashion industry was one of the very few Australian Labels to ever do so. This unique hybrid approach in the fashion industry was leading edge. Responsibilities included: Managing 22 stores, Operations, Finance, Marketing and I also held a board position. The business also introduced, other industry early innovations including Trent Nathan becoming the first company in Australian high-end fashion industry to manufacturer off shore. This move instantly improved profits, and started a ripple effect throughout the industry. Establishing a collaborative and cohesive team that shared the vision, was the main reason the transformation was successful. Calculated risk-taking combined with supportive stakeholders, ensured the success, in what was a bold move and an industry shaker. Overhauling other internal operations, and re-engineering the logistics, and outsourcing critical function, again shaped Trent Nathan as a leader. I eventually, positioned Trent Nathan as a design shop. The business was then positioned as a Design Marketing business as opposed to a Manufacturer. Trent Nathan lead the industry not just in design but in Garment sourcing, Third party logistics and other Business activity,Trent Nathan, during my tenure, was commissioned to designed uniforms for the Wallabies, Delegate Uniforms for the Sydney Olympic bids, and the Australian Swimming team uniforms. Innovator in design element – adopter of best business – trailblazer in cutting edge technologies, the business was at the forefront of retailing systems in Australia. The building of the Trent Nathan company continued until it had optimised its turnover. I then, went on to sell the Business to the Publicly listed Gazal Corp.

I started this business, as a Fashion agent, firstly based in Sydney, then expanding to Los Angeles and New York. I was responsible as a fashion agent, to grow the sales distribution for many Australia brands including Table 8 and Lisa Ho. Initially, as an Independent Rep for Australian Fashion labels, then moving into growing the distribution of those brands through the likes of Sax’s Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom and other leading American Department Stores. Key to my success in this competitive field was, in seeing the value of good design and believing in the credibility of the designer, and assisting them with my network to take their brand to the market

Involved in tennis fashion marketing in Australia. Travelled with the Australian Tennis Players, Team and Management to the tournaments around the world....Including all 4 Grand Slam tournaments. Incorporating the marketing of fashion within the sporting industry was the key initiative for this agency.
