Shane is an Engineer working within the Transport Planning Group in the Arup Office in Cork. He joined Arup as a Design Engineer in 2017. He graduated from UCC in 2017 with an BEng in Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering. Shane has experience in the Design, Planning and Construction Stages of projects. Planning:Preparation of Fee Proposals, Preliminary Design, Co-coordinating the Preparation of Part 8 Drawings, Design meetings with Clients, Preparation of TTA’s, MMP and Designers Responses for RSA’s, Answering of Public Submissions and Consultation with Stakeholders.Design:Designing to technical standards, Preparation and Delivery of Complete Tender Packages, Coordination of internal resources (BoQ, CAD, H+S, QA), Preparation of Works Requirements, FTS, ITT, Information Pack, Coordination with Service Providers for Diversions, Review of Tenders and Compliation of Tender Assessment Reports, Issuing of Tender Clarification, Letter of Intent and of Appointment and Answering Design Queries.Construction:Act as Employers Representative, Chair and Attend Site Progress Meetings, Contract Management, Answer and Coordinate Answers to RFI’s and Site Queries, Management of Contractors Claims and issuing of Employers determinations, Review Contractors Valuations and Prepare Payment Certificates, Coordinate with the Client, Resident Engineer and Contractor to ensure the works are carried out correctly, Approval of Site Documents (Risk Assesment Method Statements, Matterial Approvals, Sub Contractors and Temporary Traffic Management Plans), Coordination with the PSCS and PSDP, Prepare and Issue Change Orders and Revised Construction Drawings and Issuing and Determining of Employers Claims.Projects of Note: Harley Street (Mary Elmes) Bridge – Claims Management,Thomas Davis Bridge Junction Upgrade – Preparation of Tender Pack and Act as Employers RepresentativeDocklands to City Centre Road Network Improvement – Prelim Design and Part 8 Planning
