About Shane Stone
Shane Stone began speaking to youth groups and churches when he was a teenager and met his bride while attending a “college day” while still in high school. Shane & Candace were married in 1998 and started serving as full-time ministry student pastors when they were only 20.Fast forward over the next two decades, and the Stone family has served churches in Virginia and South Carolina as children, students, administrative, and lead pastors. Shane & Candace planted a church in 2007 in the Spartanburg, SC area, and after stepping out of full-time ministry for a period, began planning to launch Redemption Point Church in 2018.Shane is an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God (Cleveland, TN) denomination and a member of the ARC (Association of Related Churches) family. His peers elected him to serve as a South Carolina Church of God State Youth and Discipleship Board member in October of 2022.Shane has a Master of Business Administration degree from Lee University (Cleveland, TN), as well as two undergraduate degrees in Leadership (Lee University) and Christian Education (Andersonville Baptist Seminary.) He is currently enrolled in the Regent University School of Business Doctorate of Strategic Leadership program. Shane has started and run multiple small businesses and is a notary public.Candace is an alumnus of Lee University and is pursuing her Minister of Music credentials with the Church of God (Cleveland, TN.) She is instrumental in every service, leading worship and engaging with the congregation.The Stones have six children, a son-in-law and a grandson. They reside at their home in Simpsonville along with their Goldendoodle, Bowman.
