I also work with start-up businesses. Being a business owner (non-accounting), I help business overcome the problems they face whether it be succession, growing the business, seeking finance or anything else which stops them achieving their goals.The business owners I work with tend to be passionate bunch, who believe in what they're selling and that makes my job so much easier because with a bit of help, they can really focus on what they want (and need to do). This could mean increasing cashflow, readying a business for sale or simply trying to reduce overheads in order to improve the business's performance.
