As a Project Manager the day-to-day activities vary between managing multiple clients, gathering requirements, managing their financials and project coordination/planning towards our Roadmap and product lifecycle. The Project Manager is responsible for client approved software releases including directing and organizing implementation activities. They are always focused on product and platform development, QA management or sprint release management, under the direction of both the client and the PMO. They are also responsible for ensuring that all key development activities are operating smoothly and on schedule. The Project Manager also ensures that all tasks in the enterprise project management tool remain up to date and progress according to the appropriate timeline. They collaborate with all departments and work directly with QA and Development teams to make sure they have all the necessary tools and information required to meet their objectives.

With corporate headquarters located in Houston, the BA department is primarily responsible for the pricing of web-based software sub subsystems including product comparison analysis, business analysis and essentially assisting sales in creating detailed product Analysis Summaries and use case creation. Part of the service to our customer also includes RFP/RFQ responses and the submission of proposals back to sales and one of our 70+ operating companies.Primary responsibilities are managing the team that primary objective is to understand and define business requirements including definition and expansion of product functionality of the CGX portfolio including large scale e-commerce websites. As Manager for the team I am primarily responsible for the day to day running of the department including collaborating with technical project managers and teams to execute project implementations. Ensuring that we are on target with our projects and setting expectations correctly for the 1200 proposals we submit to our customers annually.

Responsible for over 100 million USD (£65 million GBP) revenue streams that were split across 2 product technology groups and providing full product support across the portfolio to the sales teams. Product managers act as a key liaison point with vendors and have a close relationship with Sales Managers and the pricing team. Responsible for full Profit & Loss, covering target setting, delivery to budget, rebate driven business and marketing funds is just a few of the primary roles. Understanding the dynamics of a designated market segment, and negotiations with vendors to move products in and out of portfolio in line with market requirements is just a few of the qualities. Product managers also, have the ability to spot tactical and strategic opportunities with existing or new vendors and act on these as required. Lead and inspired the sales staff to promote a designated product range to customers; developed sell plans with sales managers to target the correct customer base.

In 2008 XMA recognised that I had outgrown my current job role and as with my previous job roles had gained excellent working relationships with all of our current infrastructure partners. Worked with both the partners and XMA to build on existing relationships and to bring on board any partners necessary to fulfil requirements or partners that had existing relationships with a customer base we could have access to. Couple this with our understanding of both, partnerships, I prepared framework agreements and Academy roll-outs; gained and maintained relationships and partnerships with over 200 customers.

Responsible for volume in excess of 1.7 billion USD (£1.1billion) for XMA - Westcoast providing both hardware and solutions to the Corporate, Local Government and Education market areas. Responsibilities included general management, problem resolution, payroll and liaising with manufacturers such as HP, Toshiba, Lenovo, Samsung, Microsoft & Cisco. Providing training resources, pricing including vendor support for the team, and technical assistance to the sales floor. XMA are currently preferred suppliers on the following framework agreements: BECTA, Catalist, YPO, NNA, NEPA and IRDA. I was also responsible for co-ordinating the response to tenders of which I managed internally with the assistance of the Pre-sales team. And of which we won 12 out of 14 per year which also contributed over 120 Million USD, (£80 million GBP) of revenue.

For internal and external sales teams, provided technical support solutions and design support. Presented design proposals to Company Director’s which highlighted the cost benefits and technical advantages that would be provided to the customers. Identifed market opportunities for new technology solutions that were rolled out to customers across the sales teams. Prepared customer proposals and quotations. Provided support capability (could be procedural or technical) which actively supported the conversion of leads into sales opportunities. This included making customer visits in a technical consultant and commercial role.

Service EngineerRepaired laptop and desktop hardware equipment for Dell, IBM, Toshiba, Compaq, HP computers and all major manufacturers of black & white, color, laser and inkjet printers. Responsibilities also included scheduling work, administration, part ordering, warranty claims, Service Level organisation and liaising with customers.

Responsible for 8 engineers, that maintained and repaired EPOS equipment, PC's and all associated equipment for a wide range of product types including Dell, Compaq, IBM and Toshiba, ranging from laptops to servers. Clients included Debenhams, Peugeot, Safeway, Asda, D.S.S, Oasis, Pizza-Hut, Homebase & Royal Bank of Scotland. In addition, made home visits for customers to diagnose and rectify problems. Other responsibilities included ordering and returning parts, software installation and configuration, talking to and understanding the customer's needs, prioritizing the calls set out during the day to meet customers SLA's and portraying the professional image of the company to the customer.

Repaired, maintained and performed board level diagnostics and repair of a wide range of Compaq, Toshiba, and IBM laptops, desktops and servers. Provided support for 30 engineers for Windows and other software based issues. This work included training, work practices, processes, fixing known problems, providing general advice, guidance and support.
