My role is based in Specialist Clinics and is centered on two major projects, the Clinical Research Data Warehouse (CRDW) and the Specialist Clinics Telehealth project. The CRDW project is an IT project with an external vendor developing the solution, while the Telehealth project is internal and is more focussed on process and workflow management.Key achievements:● Successful completion of the Clinical Research Data Warehouse project at Austin Health, including co-authorship in the development of an abstract based on the qSOFA clinical assessment tool to be delivered at the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine Annual Scientific Meeting in November 2017● Ongoing success with embedding telehealth technology and processes into existing workflows within specialist clinics (public, private, and remote clinic models)

Inner East Melbourne Medicare Local has been pivotal in its role in helping to increase the uptake of telehealth in the Eastern Melbourne area for the most at risk members of society in aged care facilities.The sobering truth is that many of our elderly must either spend hours being transported to and from a specialist appointment (at the cost of valuable healthcare resources) or in some cases forego appropriate specialist consultation where transport is not an option.My role involves tapping in to existing referral pathways and engaging with GPs, RACFs and specialists in the area to encourage the appropriate use of telemedicine to ensure that the aged are not disadvantaged in accessing appropriate care.Key Achievements:● Surpassed executive aspiration twelve month targets in pharmacy eHealth engagement and more than doubled federal government mandated PCEHR implementation targets within one quarter● More than doubled telehealth consultations within five months (over 90 consultations compared to 40 performed the previous 1 ½ years)● Provided specialist technical support to ‘cluster’ Medicare Locals, other Medicare Locals, and internally as an eHealth subject matter expert● Provided training and support to IT companies servicing the Medicare Local catchment area● Received the Medicare Local Innovation Award for excellence in eHealth● Personally received multiple positive testimonials as part of the Primary Health Network tender testimonial process for my work in eHealth, telehealth and Aged CareProject officer for:● Integrated Falls Assessment Service – Carrington Health● Healesville hepatology telehealth clinic – Eastern Health● GRHANITE/Polar – NPS and University of MelbourneProject managed:● In-Reach telehealth project – Eastern Health● In-Reach telehealth project - Monash Health● Palliative Care resource toolkit● Aged Psychiatric Assessment Team telehealth - Eastern Health

As an eHealth support officer I assist pharmacies and general practices in becoming eHealth ready. This includes drafting registration documentation, software configuration and training, eHealth training and consumer registration. I have also provided mentoring to allied Medicare Local as part of a support hub. My current drive with the pharmacy cohort has seen a substantial rise in the number of eHealth ready pharmacies and am the secretary for a working group that includes the PSA Victorian branch and other Medicare Locals in the region.Key achievements• Surpassed executive aspirational twelve month targets in pharmacy eHealth engagement and more than doubled government mandated targets within one quarter• Provided specialist technical support to cluster Medicare Locals, other Medicare Locals, and internally as an eHealth subject matter expert. Served as service officer in the eHealth space for the front-line inquiry telephone line providing top level customer support. Also involved in the registrations process for both the PCEHR and Healthcare Identifiers Service stream. Involved in helping to establish the procedures for both programs in their infancy.
