-Monitor and investigate DDoS alerts related to production network security services with a sense of urgency in a 24/7 operations environment. -Create ACLs and utilize other mitigation techniques to block large scale DDoS attacks, including proprietary Layer 7 filters.-Actively participate in planning for DDoS detection and mitigation efforts, including technical research.-Understand proprietary systems and procedures allowing the Engineering staff to mitigate malicious traffic.-Seek opportunities for automation and work to implement where practical.
