An experienced graduate of a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Food Innovation at Dublin Institute of technology. The course focused on laboratory work and covered multiple modules based on food chemistry and biotechnology. I've also acquired computer based skills from statistics/mathematics modules as well as covering health and safety, communications and business management.I carried out work experience for 12 weeks in The Dublin Cookie Co. during Summer 2016. I gained valuable insight into business management and new product development during my time.My final year project was on the functional properties of silkworm flour and its application in food products. This thesis has expanded my interest in the field of novel food products and has encouraged me to explore food product development further in the future.
