The Shane International Foundation is a beneficiary trust set up by our Founder, Shane Wilson with a view to developing the careers of young Australian performers. The trust assists the careers of young artists in a number of ways including the donation of equipment, living expenses, tuition and other tangible resources. The Shane International Foundation also regularly acts as the catalyst to realise the dreams of young artists by introductions to mentors and other celebrities who may be seen as inspirational to the performer. For example in 2002 the Shane International Foundation organised a meeting in Montreal between a young Melbourne juggler and Guy Laliberté the owner of Cirque du Soleil so that this young Australian artist could meet with and be inspired by his professional hero.In 2006, 2008 and 2010, as part of the International Performer Exchange Programme, Shane International has funded several elite sight acts to attend master classes and workshops in both Hong Kong and Japan with a view to them being engaged by event management colleagues to perform at high profile corporate events in both countries. Other beneficiaries have included donations of equipment, resources and funds for research and development to emerging dance groups, individual character actors, solo dancers, singers, studio engineers, gymnasts and writers.
