Chosen for a special 6 month assignment to investigate the feasibility of establishing a finance company for GE in China. The project scope was to investigate: the legal system and the comfort it afforded a secured lender, the licensing requirements, the market opportunity, risk issues, the accounting regime and how it complies with International Accounting Standards, what our competitors are doing in China and mechanisms for raising capital.
