Responsible for hiring Senior Engineering talent for Stadia (Google’s gaming platform) and other Consumer Hardware product teams (Home, ATAP, Wearables)Build relationships with Hiring Managers, Directors, and other Senior Leadership to gather a deep understanding of their hiring needs. Interview the HM’s to understand how these hiring needs will impact their team and organizational structure, get an idea of what the ideal candidate is like from the HM’s perspective, and pipeline/recruit. After intake meetings with Google Leadership, begin a dual effort of self-sourcing and work with our Sourcing Team to calibrate their searches, teach them how to engage with candidates to peak interest in a particular team, and how/when transition to me for the backend of the hiring lifecycle. Also teach Sourcers (along with the basics of sourcing) tricks of the trade in finding the best candidates for a particular software engineering team. Act as the “go-to” when Sourcers do not understand where the best fit is in regards to a potential direction/team for a candidate. Hired Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, TL/M, and IC candidates for critical roles within these confidential teams, as well as Chrome, Android, and Ads (when pivoting candidates as needed). Worked with these candidates for extended lengths of time (up to 9 months) in a high touch capacity, to give the essence of red carpet treatment.
