So much effort goes into preparing data for consumption -- API calls, data transformations, job scheduling, constant testing and optimizing, and all the technical people that help make it happen. Why would we waste all of this by stumbling at the finish line and creating a data visualization that's hard to understand? This is my guiding design principle. I aim to create visualizations that are intuitive, inviting and informing through the use of visual best practices and intentional detailing. All that lead-up effort is only worth it if users *want* to look at the visualizations created for them.Very happy to be doing this for the New York Mets!9/9/22
