I am responsible for the maintenance and rehabbing of multiple structures. I do the basic maintenance, landscaping, janitorial, rehabbing and general property management for multiple sites in the surrounding St. Louis region. This opportunity has given me more leeway on my schedule, allowing me to be a part time stay at home father.

I was responsible for the safety, education, and general well being of at risk youth. I was the teacher, cook, mentor/counselor, fitness instructor, onsite medical/medication specialist, maintenance, outdoor adventure educator/planner, and driver. I was also responsible for communication with various case workers and parents. I was similarly responsible for multiple court mandated reports on a daily, biweekly, and monthly basis. This employment gave me an excellent opportunity to work with youth in need in an outdoor environment while simultaneously gaining experience working in a state run department.

I was responsible for fulfilling regulatory inspections and hazardous material handling/removal. I was responsible for doing safety and regulatory inspections, material placarding and disposal, DOT/RCRA compliance, and warehouse systems (forklift, PPE, packaging, storage, labeling and titration). This employment gave me the opportunity to experience applied Environmental Science.

I was responsible for managing teams, event coordination, driving school busses with multiple trailers, landscaping, and some outdoor adventure education/facilitation. I learned how to use various pieces of equipment including various trailers/tie down methods, garden tractors, zero turn mowers/weed-eaters, backhoe, dump truck, chainsaws/pole-saws and raft repair technologies.
