Hey there, I’m Shannon, a highly generative brand strategist, writer, and systems-builder. Supporting real people with real resources to achieve meaningful goals keeps me engaged and thoughtful in my work. I like to make the world of marketing and branding accessible to everyone- jargon is out, lucidity is in! I currently serve as the Director of Marketing and Communications at PEF, a Chattanooga-based organization that’s been transforming lives in public schools for over 35 years. I’m proud to contribute to an organization that empowers individuals to shape their own futures.In my role, I lead PEF’s newest strategic initiative: building a marketing and branding engine that supports our diverse programs and team members. I do this by crafting strategies unique to each programs' goals and connecting them with the resources they need to succeed. I've learned to stay loose and open to scale ideas to capacity, understanding that change is hard and the only way to achieve it is through the small, consistent actions that compound over time. I have a decade of progressive experience across a number of sectors including non-profit, B2B, and higher-education. I'm an adaptable, agile creature with robust experience at every level of the marketing team. Most importantly, I'm a real human with a real story, and I work to exercise all that I've learned about relationships, meaning-making, hard work, and love in my career.
