At I Know I Can, I utilized my project management and event curation skills to ensure the success of programming at Columbus Alternative High School. I organized annual school-wide and intimate college access events, which attracted a significant number of participants ranging from 25 to 400 individuals. I provided excellent customer service and coaching to site school administrators, staff, and a diverse cohort of over 300 students and families. My expertise in college access research, post-secondary financing, racial equity and successful transitions into various post-graduate options allowed me to offer valuable guidance and support to help students and their families navigate the college application process.Strategic planning and data analysis were integral to my role at I Know I Can. I tracked progress and identified barriers to success for the organization's college access milestones. My efforts resulted in my site school exceeding annual goals and surpassing nationwide FAFSA completion averages. Additionally, I played a key role in securing an average of $11 million in scholarships and grants annually.I collaborated with cross-functional teams to design surveys that capture the needs and well-being of our students. The reports generated from this data led to improved advising strategies that are tailored to the unique challenges and circumstances of our site school.In addition to my project management responsibilities, I also led in providing professional development training to building administrators on education access for underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students. This training equipped them with the necessary knowledge and skills to support our students effectively.

Developed marketing strategy: I was responsible for creating marketing strategies and materials aimed at increasing public awareness about immigration policies and their impact on the AAPI community. This involved crafting messaging, designing promotional materials, and implementing targeted communication campaigns.Advocated for Ohio House Bill 223: I worked with a diverse team of volunteers to educate stakeholders about the issues faced by underserved immigrant communities. My efforts included organizing support for the passage of Ohio House Bill 223, which is also known as the Hate Crime Victim Assistance Act of 2019. Education: I conducted research on state voting trends within the AAPI community to identify barriers that hindered their voter participation. This involved analyzing data, identifying trends, and understanding the challenges faced by the community. Additionally, I facilitated conversations and presentations with stakeholders to raise awareness about voter suppression policies and ideological barriers that affect the AAPI community's ability to exercise their voting rights.Recruited and trained youth volunteers: I was responsible for recruiting and training young individuals to organize and run civic events. These events included activities such as phone banks and voter registration drives, which aimed to engage the community and encourage active civic participation.

- Established a culture for the organization to uphold the pillars of diversity, equity, inclusion and service by providing recommendations that led to the revisions to the organization's branding, core values, staffing and volunteer culture.- Recruited, trained and managed a team of 15 volunteers to plan a series of 10 events on DEI theories and principles, race and gender justice, and policy reform with an average attendance of 200 guests.- Trained staff members and volunteers to exemplify cultural humility practices and to hold recurring discussions on sensitive issues around race, allyship, equity and inclusivity that led to a 35% increase in volunteer participation in social change activities. With a noticeable shift in underrepresented populations.- Built and cultivated relationships with key stakeholders which led to the organization’s participation in the Adopt-a-School movement, committee appointments with government and civic orgs, and various civic demonstrations.- Established and managed an online blog that captured 10 diverse voices of Hope City members on social issues most pertinent to them.

- Managed Commissioner Paula Brooks’ partnership with Franklin County’s Alcohol Drug and Mental Health (ADAMH) Rise Sister Rise initiative and organized community briefings for over 25 stakeholders on the state of Black Girls in Franklin County.- Supported Commissioner Paula Brooks on the White House Task Force on Climate Preparedness and Resilience by preparing reports and meeting with stakeholders to increase the visibility of green initiatives within Franklin County- Managed fellows from the Washington D.C. Mandela Young African Leaders program which led to the creation of a discussion series on the current state of the African Diaspora and emotional health
