After earning a promotion as the site General Manager, I am fortunate to oversee a high ropes course and zip line with over 60 elements. I create an environment where customers feel empowered to push themselves and climb to new heights. My goal is that they have a great experience that they will remember for years.• Under my supervision, our site grew in unique visitors, overall revenue, profits and activities offered. We added mini golf in 2018, laser tag in 2019, along with axe throwing, low ropes course and summer camps in 2020.• People development is a passion of mine. Farrel-McWhirter Park in is a public farm where kids and adults can get up close and personal with farm animals • High public contact position - engaging the public about the farm and farm’s history, farm animals• Lead and assist farm programs: hay rides, pony rides, farm tours, farm animal and husbandry classes• Basic animal care and maintenance including grooming, handling, first aid and health maintenance• Operate small implements and various tools to perform routine maintenance • Process improvements – proactively created efficiencies in day to day farm tasks • Innovation improvement team member – this project identified an area of need and provided a solution that will reduce resources and save money

BRSP is a popular park where guests enjoy tall/short grass prairie, riparian forests, camping and swimming• Communication – with supervisors, coworkers and customers to ensure the highest quality of service and work• Grounds maintenance – grooming and weed control of trails/campgrounds using tractors, trucks, lawn mowers and other implements to maintain park quality • Building maintenance – lighting, plumbing, repairs and general building maintenance • Janitorial – clean restrooms, outbuildings, office and shop• Park Entrance station – first contact with customers selling entry passes and customer service • Park security – patrol trails/campground, night security, respond to emergencies and disturbances • Provide direction to interns and other seasonal employees • Led interpretive hikes introducing the local flora and fauna of the park

RSC is a program of MSUM that provides science and environmental education for PreK - adult Prepared and delivered educational information about ecosystems and habitats in an outdoors environment for groups of up to 30 elementary and middle school students• Multi-seasonal program: Journey of the tall grass prairie and taught how important the prairie ecosystem is to local animals and the environment• Riparian forest program: Explored a riparian forest to help students understand how water changed the environment and how it effects human kind, investigated how organisms aid in the decaying of bio material • Animal program: Explored the different animals from herbivores (bison, deer, and pocket gopher) to carnivores (wolf, badger, owl) and how they affect the prairie and the ecosystem, used bones and hides to demonstrate different animals• Why Not Winter program: an all-day immersion experience for students; students experienced using snowshoes, campfire cook out and learned how plants and animals adapt to changing seasons• Helped develop a 5k/10k trail run for National Trails Day (multi-year), goal was to promote trails and enjoy nature• Prepared and delivered educational information about ecosystems and habitats in an outdoors environment for groups. With focuses on: o Habitat and habitat destruction o Ecosystem connections o Animal needs and connections o Storm water runoff o Effects Human driven changes to our environment
