As a Sr. Loan Officer I am responsible for forming and maintaining relationships with realtors, builders and home buyers. I work very closely with all involved in order to ensure a smooth process and make sure all guidelines are followed. At George Mason Mortgage I offer an array of loan products with quick turn times. We offer financing for purchase and refinance transactions. We offer FHA, VA and Conventional financing as well as streamline renovation loans.

As a Home Mortgage Consultant with Wells Fargo, I was responsible for building and maintaining relationships with builders, realtors, financial advisors and consumers. I provided mortgage knowledge to everyone involved in purchase as well as refinance transactions. I was also responsible for the initial processing of all files including obtaining income and asset documents and ensuring the files meet all underwriting guidelines.

As a Loan Officer with NVR Mortgage, it was my responsibility to support the Ryan and NV Homes Builder Divisions. I provided excellent customer service to their purchasers, while developing and maintaining relationships with our Investors so that I may offer the best possible loan products available to our clients. I provided on-site training to the Sales Representatives, to keep them abreast of current market situations, as well as the ever changing product guidelines and program availability, enabling them to increase their sales potential. I have a vast knowledge in both Government and Conventional loans, and am well equipped to guide our clients during their financing choices, to ensure they qualify for the program best suited to their financial situation, as well as to help them lock in the lowest available rate. I maintained open communication throughout the building cycle to address any concerns they may have had, as well as assisted my processing staff in collecting and updating the necessary documentation to secure an approval, and prepare the loan for settlement.

As an underwriter I was responsible for reviewing ALTA and Subprime Loan conditions to ensure they met all guidelines and investor requirements. After reviewing the files I was responsible to give the final clear to close and ensure all automated systems matched for closing and compliance. I was also required to underwrite files and render credit decisions based on FNBA’s guidelines. As an underwriter I underwrote ALTA files up to a loan amount of $650,000 for 1st and 2nd trusts. This was inclusive of all doc types from Full Doc to No Doc loans.

In the position of a Wholesale Account Manager, I was the liason between the underwriters and brokers. I had direct contact with the broker to give general underwriting guidance, answer product questions and assist with rate locks. I was responsible to review all new submissions to ensure they met the underwriting guidelines. I also reviewed all conditions to ensure they met the requirements before being submitted to underwriting to be cleared. Once the loans were cleared it was my responsibility to do a pre closing audit on all loans. The pre closing audit was to ensure accuracy within the file for fees, spellings and general information. The closing audit also ensured the file was in proper stacking order and allowed for ease through the actual closing process. In addition I was responsible to train my assistance as well as oversee them on a day to day basis.

As a mortgage processor I would work directly with borrowers in order to obtain all necessary conditions in order to clear their loan through underwriting. I was responsible to order all title work, appraisals and verifications needed for closing. Once the loan was cleared to close, I would coordinate the settlement with the attorneys, title companies and the borrowers.

As a call center counselor I was responsible for fielding incoming calls from potential borrowers. I would answer questions pertaining to VA, FHA, Conventional and Equity Loans. During the course of the calls, I would gather information and pre-qualify borrowers and advise borrowers as to the best options available for them. I would also review payments, rates, closing costs and general processing guidelines with them. I would them take any applications over the phone and forward onto the processors.
