Selling is not just about the product or service. It's about letting the client know how your product or service will benefit them. That's the perspective I take each and every time I approach a client. I was quick to realize that homeowners in my area were not receiving a true consultation on their garage doors. They were being quoted what they already had sitting there. No one was telling them what could be done to make their homes more attractive, to make their garage climate controlled, to help the room above the garage more comfortable. I stepped up the customer experience. I tell our clients what they can do to make their home have curb appeal, what they can do to make their home more comfortable.Most Business to Consumer home service sales people rely purely on the appointments or leads their company provides. I do not. I prospect customers by ensuring that I am taking networking to the ultimate level. I reach out and build relationships with business owners, real estate agents, builders, etc and worth with them to ensure that they are referring me to their customers, to their clients. I am building my own book of business by prospecting clients in a way not often experienced in the industry.
