I'm Shantesh Kelvekar, an architect, landscape urbanist and an urban thinker based in Bangalore. I'm one of the partners at ReadingGrounds, a deep-seated and a radical practice in the domain of architecture, landscape and urbanism – a practice that integrates all the components of spatial design. I'm also heading GroundResearch - a research team involved in exclusive urban and spatial research. GroundResearch is also a think tank constantly enriching the works of ReadingGrounds.I've over fifteen years of work experience in architecture, ecological planning and urban design on a variety of projects ranging in diverse scales. Apart from working on projects in India, I have worked on projects in Europe, Middle East, Far East and Americas. Prior to moving to Bangalore, I lived, worked and studied in New Delhi, Paris and London.One of my primary intent in exploration is dealing with a constant bridging between academia and practice; and my firm belief is that the riff in between will enhance both the domains.Apart from my profession, I'm passionate about writing, photography and travelling.
