Not everyone gets to head to work in the morning saying, "I love what I do!" but my job is the perfect fit and I like to think it feels the same way about me.I am the Public Information Manager at the busy, beautiful, and innovative Barrington Area Library in northwest suburban Chicago. My specialties: Web editing and design, writing/editing, social media and blogging, photography, creating graphics for print and online projects, video production, public speaking, teaching, musical performance. I like bringing people together for conversation, creativity, laughter, and joy. (Some food doesn't hurt.)I previously spent 16 years in an academic library as the Circulation Supervisor, then Instructional Assistant, running an extremely busy and well-received Bibliographic Instruction department. Adjunct faculty experience as a Reference Librarian and Instructional Librarian.I also spent 4 years as the very first Web Services Librarian at a large suburban public library.
