Shari VanderWerf has been doing stand-up comedy since the mid-1980s. She started in Los Angeles where she attended the University of Southern California, majoring in English and film and working as a nanny on the weekends for comedy legend, Bette Midler.A long time fan of comedy, Shari sought out every opportunity to explore many different aspects of the genre from studying improv with the Groundlings to writing screenplays to a stint co-hosting a benefit at the Greek Amphitheater along side Ned Beatty.Stand-up took a back seat to motherhood and a “real job” as an advertising copywriter in the 1990s. After raising three children, Shari re-entered the world of comedy several years ago and is now listed among the Top 50 Funny People on Twitter as ranked by Favstar.com.Shari's humor can be enjoyed daily through her Twitter feed at www.twitter.com/shariv67 or catching her performances at comedy clubs across the U.S. She is also available for hire as a freelance writer of jokes, speeches, ad copy and scripts.

Lead guided tours on the history, art and architecture of the Massachusetts State House for tourists and school groups. Tours were suspended due to the pandemic.
