I began as an International Change Agents Mentor from January 2017 to December 2018, where I coached and supported individuals on an international level. Later, I was asked to join the team in Portugal as an International Facilitator in 2017. My responsibilities included planning and executing workshops, supporting the morning show and party team, supporting female delegates with their needs, and encouraging African delegates to integrate with the rest of the cohort. My final role with the World Alliance of YMCAs was as a Task Force Member from May 2018 to May 2019. As part of this role, I collected data and made recommendations on the Change Agent program for Cohort 4 and beyond. In February 2019, a group of 10 representatives from around the world met in Fairthorne, England, to finalize the review of program objectives and development of future enhancements to maximize the program's potential.Within the Africa Alliance of YMCAs, SAYMCA, I held two functions. First, as a National Facilitator, I was responsible for developing training programs for international and national delegates focused on concepts such as Africa We Want, Subject2Citizen, and Power Spaces. In addition, I also functioned as a Social Media Ambassador, assisting with getting stories, news, and pictures from local YMCAs for the national newsletter and helping to edit and curate articles and posts.Currently, I am still involved in a voluntary capacity with various projects as needed and serve on the National Executive Committee.
