I am a Director of Communications with a passion for education, a cheerful and positive demeanor, and a proven ability to collaborate and communicate creatively. During my time at Lansing USD469, I have gained extensive experience implementing a district-wide communications plan, overseeing media and marketing efforts, and leading our staff recruitment and retention. Some highlights of my experience in Lansing USD469 include the migration of our LansingSchool District website and the development of a communications plan that includes daily articles pushed out on our website, app, and social media, and weekly newsletters from each of our building principals. Another accomplishment I am proud of is the development of a Bi-Weekly Podcast with our Director of Teaching & Learning. I thoroughly enjoy collaborating with diverse teams and committees, such as serving on the District Admin Team, District Leadership Team, as a member of our Health & Wellness Committee, as President of Lansing High School Site Council, and as the district liaison for the Lansing Educational Foundation.This year, I have led our Strategic Plan initiative, which was presented to our Board of Education for approval in April 2023. Our Lansing USD469 School Board recognized me during our November Board of Education meeting for my work to increase community engagement, organize in-person meetings, facilitate a room to gather feedback, and promote transparency through our district website and social media platforms.
