Lead Ambassador Coordinator for the non-profit We Hike to Heal Inc. Responsibilities include managing the training and development of the entire WH2H Ambassador staff. This includes developing training programs, ensuring each Ambassador is trained in essential first aid or wilderness first aid, trauma sensitive verbiage, mental health first aid, managing event postings, and supporting the team in work life balance and teambuilding. Also responsible for managing and attending partner sponsored events, retreats, and promoting the company at public venues. Curating social media content, company promotion posts, and fundraising are also important role responsibilities. WH2H currently has expanded its reach internationally to include Ambassadors/Staff in Canada, France, as well as those located across the United States.I am also the lead Ambassador for the Atlanta, Georgia region. Hosting outdoor wellness events such as ecotherapy group hikes, yoga events, as well as individual ecotherapy sessions and trauma informed yoga sessions in Atlanta and the surrounding metro including the North Georgia mountains region. During these sessions outdoor activities, such as the group hikes, I incorporate several different self-care modalities like mediation, guided discussion topics, curating safe spaces to share, and journaling exercises. I have a great personal interest in developing relationships with other organizations interested in sponsoring, partnering, supporting with WH2H, or looking to incorporate environmental/nature therapy programs into their businesses. We educate others on the physical and mental benefits of outdoor movement, like hiking & kayaking in combination with emotional therapeutic practices such as safe space conversation, journaling, and meditation practices. I am also a retired Certified Professional Air Traffic Controller with over 20+ years experience in the aviation field as an Air Traffic Controller for the military, federal government, and private sectors. I have special interests in the development of training programs, equal and fair work environments, diversity and inclusion programs, conflict resolution programs, work/life balance strategies.and application of mindfulness training in the workforce. Expeience has shown me how unhealthy worklife balances have been encouraged in our society. I'm seeking positions that not only promote healthy balances within my own career, but also promoting these balances in others.
