Responsible for underwriting all loan types including FHA/VA/CONV/BOND/USDA/PORTFOLIO loans up to $650,000.Consistently averaging 55+ loans per month with maintaining high standards of QC requirements. Supervise and coordinate all aspects of underwriting personnel for the region, ensuring high morale, excellent customer service and maximum volume and profits. Provide new hire orientation and acquaint new underwriting associates on company policies, procedures and history of company. Develop current underwriting training material in line with industry and investor changes. Manage and mentor underwriting staff in appropriate risk analysis and decisions as well as compliance with agency and investor guidelines. Manage underwriting flow to ensure timely decisions while meeting quality standards and appropriate use of Automated Underwriting Systems and/or traditional underwriting methods. Provide technical support to all underwriting staff, quality control staff and senior management.

Underwriting of FHA, VA and CONV loans to ensure all loans met investor and agency guidelines. Worked with Investor relations to ensure quality of loans to meet guidelines and ensure loans could be sold. Responsible for staffing, training, conducting performance reviews for all underwriters. Monitor daily pipeline and ensure loans were closed on time. Oversee the quality of loan approval, second reviews of declines within the defined authority given by each investor. Development of new programs with senior management to meet investor and agency guidelines.
