Hi, I’m Dr. Sharon Goldrup (she/her/hers). I am an educational researcher, content developer, and disability advocate with a Ph.D. in Education, 10+ years of experience teaching K-12 through adults, and documented success fighting for disability awareness and accessibility.WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT:✔ I am a practitioner-scholar. While I offer Ph.D. level knowledge of learning best practices, I combine theory with more than a decade of hands-on experience teaching. This unique combination of education, years of intensive research, and hands-on teaching experience allows me to nimbly apply research-backed theory to content and curriculum development to drive engagement and improve learning outcomes.✔ I bring proven success in designing, deploying, and facilitating eLearning, blended, *and* live learning. I not only researched virtual and online learning before COVID-19 and Zoom were popular but I have also been entrusted to train fellow educators on best practices. I am equally comfortable designing high-impact learning curriculum, teaching in front of a large diverse group, or producing peer-review journal articles. ✔ I am a fierce advocate for accessibility. While diversity, equity, and inclusion are in the spotlight, disability and accessibility are too often overlooked. I spent the last 10+ years fighting for disability awareness and accessibility. I completed a Ph.D. focused on special education/disabilities studies, I am CPACC certified, I have introduced new policy to make the evaluation of learning more equitable for people with disabilities, and now teach professionals how to better support learners with disabilities. When not supporting educational research, designing curriculum, and teaching adult learners, you will find me taking Pottery classes, continuing my education and certification for accessibility and spending time with my husband and son.✉ sgoldrup@gmail.comKEY STRENGTHS: Instructional Design ✦ Course Development (eLearning, Blended, & Live) ✦ Staff Training & Development ✦ Research Initiatives ✦ Needs Assessments ✦ Learning & Performance Metrics ✦ Technical Writing ✦ Information Mapping ✦ Large-Scale Project Management ✦ Continuous Improvement ✦ Cross-Functional Collaboration ✦ Stakeholder RelationsTECHNOLOGY: R ✦ R Studio ✦ SPSS ✦ Learning Management Systems (Blackboard, Canvas, & Connexus)EDUCATION: Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Education, Special Education & Disabilities Studies ✦ Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Special Education, Autism & Mild to Moderate Disabilities ✦ Bachelor of Arts (BA) in General Studies
