Drive manufacturing through a systematic engineering way with a group of Manufacturing System Engineers· Plays a lead strategic role overseeing : Safety, Quality, Controls, IDM, NPI, Shop floor system and Operation Training.· Drive operation excellence with meeting operation & sustaining indicator as top priority. · Initiates cross-functional partnerships to identify and resolve Production, Engineering and Quaility issues.· Lead efforts around development of new/standardized technologies and manufacturing systems/controls /processes to support existing and new/transferred product from RnD to HVM.

Department Manager for 2 identical factories, 3 main core responsibilities:• Operation Excellent - Drive operation excellence with meeting operation & sustaining indicator as top priority. Works directly with manufacturing in a team environment for problem solving, buy-in and support.• Engineering - Coordinate, direct and prioritize Manufacturing Engineering activities to assure top priorities are focused on key objectives of Safety, Quality, Throughput, Yield and Efficiency. Drive continuous improvement engineering works such as Kaizen, 6-sigma, structured problem solving. • NPI and Technology change - Ramp NPI new processes/technology from ideology to manufacturing release and production ramp with all the system and control in place

• Manage and coach a team of engineer on daily process/equipment sustaining and new technology transfer activities.• Responsible for managing all equipment and process sustaining activities for section within the Manufacturing Eng Dept related to production output, production yield and process capability.• Provides engineering support to satellite plants as required.• Participate in continuous improvement programs and activities to ensure meeting of departmental performance objectives• Assigned in critical process development for next generation technology. Conducted characterization tests (DOE) on developing processes. • Involved in the design, development and qualification of new tools and equipment.

• Joint First Solar as pioneer team. Involved in start-up activities for 4 identical thin film PV solar module factories from new manufacturing lines until production release (acceptance testing, installation, qualification). • Responsible in the deployment of new technology platform from soft turn-on to high volume manufacturing release• Provided technical leadership to improve machine utilization and machine availability and to implement solutions to process-related issues. Monitor, investigate and contain every process/tools issue which causing scrap and yield loss

• Start up new equipment processes which involves process characterization and development• Involves in productivity improvement through process changes, document, as well as implement process capability and work with equipment engineers to maximize productivity of equipment.• Implement and document robust process execution (SOP), control and monitoring (SPC, alarm/interlock) system.• Work on Cross-Functional Team to solve Process issues and actively involved in cost reduction project.
