Mentored by Nurse Amber in the ER department, I learned the multifaceted nature of nursing, embodying advocacy, compassion, and excellence. Witnessing teamwork's impact on healthcare solidified my aspiration to join this supportive community.Volunteering with UCR's medical brigade in Honduras reinforced my calling to serve others through medicine. Treating patients in underserved communities highlighted the resilience and compassion required in nursing. Inspired by this experience, I pursued an emergency medical technician certification at Ben Clark Training Center, driven by my commitment to patient care and service.Despite the challenges of COVID-19 disrupting my academic and professional path, working with AMR and Nurse Mariah affirmed my calling to nursing. Her guidance and encouragement led me to discover CBU's entry-level nursing program, aligning with my academic excellence and spiritual growth values.
