Offender education

Education Management supporting the development of and the delivery of a curriculum that will reduce re-offending underpinned by rehabilitation. My approach to education is based on a philosophy which promotes an inclusive, multi-disciplinary and solution focused emphasis requiring the learner to think reflectively and take ownership of previous and future actions;

I am responsible for the launch and development of the new SEMH provision for young people in the Medway and Kent area. The school is working to develop personalised education that will point the young person towards a future with choices, options and real opportunities. A plan to support continued learning, 'Learning for life' - for the young people and for the staff who support them - underpins the school ethos. Communication, Collaboration and Motivation are key to our successful transition to excellence for everyone in the skills of Leadership and Management. The project is an exciting adventure to prove that our students have both the talent and skills to make a difference to the local community.

Seconded by Medway Local Authority to support the Heads of School in both The Oaks and The Rowans through a process of transition due to poor regulatory ratings.

I was responsible for the quality of our care and educational provisions and the development of services required to support the care, education and emotional health of children and young people.

Regulatory responsibility for the Caldecott Foundation School. Main areas of focus: Educational attainment within the students and integrated practice across the Caldecott Foundation.

Regulatory responsibility for education across a number of schools within the Fostering organisation.

Responsible for excellent practice and outcomes for the young people placed within a number of foster care placements and the line mangment of Social Workers, Therapists and Senior Social Workers. In addition regulatory responsibility for the Secondary education of all young people within the Fostering Organisation and the placement of day pupils.
