Currently working as a medical secretary in the renal department full time over four days. My job entails liaising with patients and doctors, typing clinic letters and ad-hoc correspondence through a digital system and via verbal dictation. I make appointments for patients and deal with ad-hoc queries. I also liaise well with other departments to enable clinic set ups and room bookings and make sure that the renal service at Stafford runs efficiently and effectively for the benefit of the patients.
