I am responsible for signing new tenants to our properties, rent collection and management, void management, rent arrears, all anti social behaviour issues relating to our properties and possible resulting warnings/evictions. Health and safety management of properties, also ensuring Fire Safety systems are in place and up to date. Ensure that all maintenance is reported and completed in a timely manner. liase with sub contractors in relation to property management.

House vulnerable offending adults in supported shared accommodation and develop their social skills to re-integrate in to the community. Provide advocacy, assistance with benefits, training requirements, housing management, budgeting skill and develop social skills. We have a flexible working working environment with vulnerable clients to assist them with a variety of skills, enable them to manage their own tenancy with support enhancing the skills they require and empowering them to develop at their own pace over a period of up to two years.

I was initially, a volunteer at Dinas Fechan Homeless Hostel, after a few months, I was accepted on the relief workers team and covered sickness and annual leave when required. During my time at the Hostel I covered the Winter Watch Resettlement Scheme. This was funded by the Local Authority to move vulnerable adults off the streets and out of Hostels into independent accommodation. We applied for all the relevant grants to assist with this and then helped to set up services, move in, address correspondence, assist with decorating and shopping for furnishings. This Scheme lasted for three months every Winter and I was able to participate in this for two years running. After the Winter Watch Scheme I returned to a key work role in the Hostel covering long term sickness on night duties whilst studying for my Degree. In 1998, I then secured a full time role as Key Worker and was seconded to Shared Supported Housing.
