I am the co-ordinator of social media strategy and management at Martel Instruments, a thermal printer manufacturer based in Durham, UK. Martel manufacture customized thermal, mobile and panel printers for a range of industries including:- • Automotive • Industrial and manufacturing• Law enforcement• Leisure and events• Medical• Retail• Scientific• Transport I manage the whole of Martel’s social media including: Twitter, Facebook, Linked In, Instagram and YouTube. I am also responsible for adding new content to the website and updating as and when needed, which includes a WordPress blog. I am also involved in Martel’s e-mail marketing campaigns, with Mail Chimp. I have been involved in some of Martel’s recent big projects which include researching new products to add to the Martel range, which we have successfully become the UK & USA distributor of GeBE Elektronik’s thermal kiosk printers. I have also been involved with pre-show exhibition research for tradeshows such as Medica, Pittcon & HIMSS15. One of the biggest projects I have worked on in the past year was the launch of Martel’s new online store, which you can visit at www.thermalprinterstore.co.uk – This project involved researching different e-commerce companies, right through to the design, to setting up sage pay, and eventually the launch of the store in September 2015. Other parts of my role include customer service and working alongside the dispatch department and the operations department.

Working as part of a team to manufacture mobile thermal and panel printers, in various departments on the shop floor. Trained up in stores to kit work orders, as well as testing the printer. I was also in charge of goods in, receiving in any deliveries and getting them booked into stock. I also worked in the dispatch department, making sure the products got sent out on time.
