I assist undergraduate students in making travel plans to present at conferences and meetings around the country. Through coordination with students, professors, and department assistants I make arrangements for flights, hotels, and conference fees.I also assist our Research and Internship Directors in coordinating applications and funding for undergraduate researchers at the University. I also assist in maintaining our expansive internship database, as well as creating contacts at new companies around the country to provide new internship opportunities for our students.

Working with Drs. Carmel Price and Silas Pearman, I helped conduct a quantitative study of food literacy at a private liberal arts college in South Carolina. Working off of current literature in the field of agricultural literacy, Dr. Price and I constructed a survey measuring how much participants knew about how food was grown and where it came from. This research was conducted through Furman's Shi Center for Sustainability under a grant from the Duke Endowment.

Working with Dr. Allison Hurst, I spent my summer looking at how recent college graduates fared on the job market. In addition to completing a thorough literature review of the topic, Dr. Hurst and I along with another undergraduate constructed a survey and conducted interviews to find out what sorts of resources help recent college graduates the most in the job market, looking specifically at factors like familial education, college extracurriculars, and student debt.
