Through this project, I innovatively developed five new Hard Metal grades by partially replacing the traditional cobalt binder with carbonyl iron & nickel. I meticulously characterized these new grades for corrosion resistance across various solution mediums, ultimately recommending the most suitable grade for application.The culmination of my efforts resulted in the selection of my thesis work for presentation at the prestigious World PM 2018 conference in Beijing, China. Furthermore, the research was published in the proceedings of the 2018 World Congress on Powder Metallurgy, showcasing the significance and impact of the project's findings on the industry.
