Supervised trial production of a crankcase oil antiwear additive in a UK-based tolling manufacture. Resulted in a successful trial and recognition for outstanding performance from the company president. Created and led commercialization team with R&D to initiate technology transfer, both intra company and inter-company for Molyvan 855 processing, and visited Petro China (customer) refinery to put technical program in process. Designed improved process for Molyvan 855 which will allow for throughput of the sulfur removing product by 5 fold via use of alternative solvent and conversion from batch to continuous operation. This process has the potential of increasing capacity to 30 million pounds utilizing existing equipment with small capital expenditure to increase bulk storage capacity. Currently the manufacturing cost of this product represents 17% of site manufacturing cost.
Managed remediation of 90-acre site. Solely accountable for contractor selection and execution of remediation project. Oversaw environmental reporting of site activities.
Managed capital projects from $1 to $200 million, including contracting/negotiating contracts, budgeting, managing contractors, and scheduling within project plan. Installed 4 new reactors ($2.5 million) and performed site environmental remediation ($200 million).
