As a producer, I work under my own umbrella of Rock Island Productions, as well as for a number of production companies and directly for corporations and businesses. Lately, I've been doing a lot of virtual productions, using a variety of platforms suited to each event. I love learning the ins and outs of each platform, and how to use them to best advantage for each situation. I've dipped into development of VR/AI and use a multitude of varied platforms to help with meaningful connection in this new virtual world. I am innovative and flexible, and understand how to make true connection and communication happen in any format (live, virtual or....and whatever comes next!). My skill-set is wide - from years of coaching speakersto be onstage to helping write scripts for presentations to designing content (video, design, strategy and execution) working with designers and production staff. TEDxLincolnAs the Licensee and Co- Curator for TEDxLincoln I work with a team of hard-working volunteers who strive to make a community where thoughtful discourse can occur. Involved in top-level decisions about the direction of TEDxLincoln, I am excited to be able to make a difference in our community. My role is to mentor, ideate, organize make connections in the community, and fundraise. TEDxLincoln seeks to provide opportunities in Nebraska for people to share ideas. Created in the spirit of TED’s mission, “ideas worth spreading.” Our events are planned and coordinated with support from individuals and organizations from across Nebraska. From main-stage events, to youth and women’s events to salons, we provide a variety of opportunities for people to come together.TEDYouth@Lincoln has held events in since 2013. As the curator, I manage the nuts and bolts of production. From organizing teams with both youth and adults who do everything from choosing speakers, to coaching, working with talent, managing logistics and interactive activities. I love to inspire youth and encourage them to develop useful skills through their volunteer work.TEDxLincoln Main has been having an annual main stage event since 2011 with themes ranging from innovation in business to rethinking change to disruption. TEDxLincolnWomen has been held in conjunction with the live stream of TEDWomen and with local speakers. I worked with the Honors Program at UNL on a number of projects as they creatively re-invented the program to meet the needs of 21st Century students. As a Director level employee on the management team, I had the opportunity to be a part of strategic decisions at the top level of the organization. From creating the Foundation’s rebranded identity, website, and communications strategies to managing content across all marketing channels and social media, I acquired a wide range of skills. I created, managed and maintained the website, email and direct mail strategy, as well as content and production. From writing stories for newsletters, the website, and social media to creating programs and scripts for events, this job utilized a wide range of skills. I hired and managed interns and staff as well as vendors, communicated with the Foundation’s board, and lead the marketing and events committees. I conceptualized and managed all details of events, with the support of the committee and staff. I was intent upon finding ways to engage donors, and measuring their support through surveys and analytics including social media, website and direct mail. Managing a budget and finding ways to stretch resources through partnerships is a key component of working in the nonprofit sector. I had the exciting opportunity to work on a new software platform from inception to end product (Fund a Need at www.foundationgive.com). Another exciting opportunity included strategizing and crafting the launch of a new social enterprise business with its own brand identity, communication strategy and social media presence (Spark Summer Learning).

Production Company located in Marblehead, MA. As a freelancer, I was a regular part of the established team of professionals that was hired to work on projects. I worked with high-level executives to create presentations for a variety of events from IPO presentations to national sales meetings. I especially enjoyed working with clients to shape the design and content of their presentations. I directed, budgeted and managed the design team and worked with script-writers to make each meeting distincitve. As part of the production team at onsite locations, I prepared and rehearsed speakers with technical support and called speaker and visual cues for events.
