TV2U is an IPTV enabling organisation. The team is made up of some very talented individuals. My responsibility was to create the marketing department from scratch as all previous marketing activity had been done on-the-fly by senior management with little marketing experience.The role of the marketing department and 'The Marketing Function' was formalised and introduced to the whole team.Marketing Strategy was developed based on corporate business objectives, product range, corporate capabilities and market structure.Marketing budget: £2m to support corporate, brand and strategic partner marketing activities.Achievements included, but are not limited to:- creating corporate and brand marketing strategies- sourcing, identifying and briefing shortlist of digital advertising agencies- identifying strategic Public relations agency for global corporate and brand positioning. Agency chosen and commissioned - Babel PR (London)- developing and implementing social media strategy prior to brand launch- design and develop new corporate website structure- write new corporate website- write and direct voice-over material- consider and recommend exhibition and trade show activity- attend corporate partnering meetings to explore joint-venture opportunitiesReason for leaving: I must take some of the responsibilty in allowing myself to remain in this post for eight months without pay. As a disabled person, positions with potential like this do not appear very often and accepting promises is easier that facing the reality.
