Within a large, global automotive supplier I was responsible for the local day to day activities of the R&D Mechanical team, (includes Sample Workshop) and represent the department with regards to local and global strategic direction, innovation, process and guideline quality initiatives.We develop and prototype, mechanical aspects within a product system from concept to mass production with technical solutions, innovation, manufacturability, quality and cost effective designs.My responsibilities included - - Resource and Budget management- Leading R&D processes and quality- Task allocation and priority- Product quotation activities- Employee development and recruitment- Strategy planning and implementation- Ensuring all targets and deadlines are met to agreed costs- High level of Customer satisfaction- Instilling collaborative mindsetContinental is a global automotive supplier comprising of its five divisions, Chassis & Safety, Interior, Powertrain, Tire, and ContiTech.
