During this time I continued to reduce the amount of support work by creating patches to automate mundane tasks that our support team was performing. Continued with integration projects, And then started work on re-writing the existing Message Promotion system so that it could keep up with the influx of transactional data as well as design a front end so that the marketing department would be able to setup these promotions easily.

Started to work more closely with the Message Promotion system as the demand from business increased as well as implementing new aspects to the system like integrating with 3rd parties to print wi-codes onto till slips. Created billing reports and integration to support printing free cellular airtime onto the till slips. As well as creating patches to automate support tasks and easily fix technical issues on the machines ie (Corrupt Framework, Corrupt IIS)

I continued to learn and maintain more of the systems and interfaces between the POS and central systems. I now started to learn more about the syncing of software on some 1500 stores across Africa and developed and improved tools for keeping the software in sync. Also started working on the Message promotion system and making improvements as well as implementing a dynamic integration for 3rd parties.

Started an internship with S.A's biggest retailer. Learning everything I could about retail, this included some in store training. I dealt with and resolved a lot of support issues while learning how the systems worked. Later I was given two programs that need to be written and maintained my code was reviewed and I started to learn about standards and not only making code work but work efficiently in terms of memory and cpu usage.
