In this Head of Function role, I lead a multi-disciplinary team with five direct reports. As I progressed to Managerial and instructional positions, I designed, inspected, and tested electrical installations, ensuring compliance with British standards, and maintained databases for electrical test equipment. I also developed strong team leadership skills, guiding teams of electromechanical technicians to maintain operational effectiveness while adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations. Additionally, I prepared and delivered training, assessed student performance, and continuously updated educational materials. In my later roles, I organised and prioritised the maintenance of over 1000 assets, demonstrating my capability in both technical and leadership capacities, and contributing significantly to the operational success of the RAF.
