Mr. Barton has 19 years of experience in the Hazardous Waste Management Industry and has led the Tervita Emergency Response team out of the Richmond facility since 2006. Tervita is one of North America's largest provider of environmental solutions and energy services.Shawn has managed equipment and personnel in spill responses throughout the Province of British Columbia, and now sits on the National Tervita Emergency Response committee dedicated to continually improving services across the country. Through his role Shawn has acted as Incident Commander on hundreds of incidents such as oil spills, mercury spills, industrial chemical releases, motor vehicle accidents involving hazardous materials, orphaned chemical clean-ups, chemical spills and reactions, pipeline breaks and industrial fires to name a few. Working with the RCMP, Shawn also helped establish the clandestine drug laboratory decommissioning program currently in use throughout the Province of British Columbia. Since the program inception, over 5 years ago, Shawn has managed the clean-up of over 300 clandestine laboratory related sites across BC.
