About Shawn Simon

I am a person who is passionate about many issues involving social justice. My primary interests range from issues within the queer community, women's issues, issues of race, poverty, environmental racism, prison reform, and much more. The scope of my work encompasses these issues in some form. My main objectives throughout all of my work experiences are to expand my viewpoints, foster a better understanding prevalent issues within society, and to apply solutions to these issues. My primary form of challenging and diminishing these issues would be through volunteer experience, work experience, and through political advocacy. I graduated from Humboldt State University in Fall 2014 with a Bachelor's Degree of Science, majoring in Political Science with an emphasis on Advocacy and Institutions and minoring in Psychology.
